Just landed...

Now for the fun part of filling out customs forms and picking up bags.

Oh joy!

Great airplane, but...

I am unfortunately seated next to a team of male and female aussie basketball players (look like seniors in high school), and most of them stink like a sweaty locker room. Not going to be a good flight due to the stink and noise.

Ok, here we go...

Well, you knew it couldn't last.

Landed in LA and had to go from terminal 7 to terminal 3, and now I have to wait another hour before I can check in for my next flight.

ARGH!

There is nothing here. I have to go to a different terminal if I want something without going through security.

Oh well, good thing I have some M&Ms.

Ooh! A lovely perk!

I have free WiFi on this flight (promotional thing from United Airlines, they've refitted a bunch of planes with WiFi) so I am able to use my BlackBerry to use Twitter Facebook and to post here on my blog!

On the plane...

This is excellent, I am in row 15 on a 757, which means extra leg room as it is the first row behind business class. Also happens to be a window seat! Bonus!

Priceless

Getting up at 4am to go to the airport... Sucks!
Avoiding most of the NYC and Long Island traffic... Priceless!

Paying $425 for 3 HEAVY suitcases at check-in at JFK in NYC for United Airlines... Sucks!
Having the bags checked all the way to Sydney even on VAustralia so that I don't have to pick them up in LAX and re-check them, thereby paying EVEN MORE $$$... Priceless!

And we're off...

ok, off to the airport... now which terminal? 7 or 9? the websites conflict

And so it begins...

Twas the night before leaving,
and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring,
except for me with my mouse.

Yup it is t-minus 6 hrs and counting until I need to wake up, shower, drive to JFK from Sleepy Hollow, NY (yes THE Sleepy Hollow). I should be sleeping, especially since I am exhausted and I will be up early and have a long day ahead. But, instead here I am on Facebook and starting yet another blog. I do have others but I think that this will be the one that I end up spending most of my time on in the future.

It is a very exciting time for me and my family as we begin our lives on the other side of the planet.

The plan is to keep our friends and family posted about the ups and downs and our adventures of raising our triplets as well as our new life in Oz.

So stay tuned, the first few posts are likely to be interesting ones about my trip over there. Which is bound to start off good since I am taking 3 suit cases (2 LARGE ones and one duffel bag) and two carry-ons. Which I am sure will cause me some financial grief as well as logistical issues.

Here we go!
